Last year, I was sidelined with a hip injury and couldn't make the ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge, an important fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund and cancer treatment and prevention. Since then, we've lost Ted Kennedy to the disease, and my wife Teresa was diagnosed with cancer - which she continues to tackle with her special blend of resilience and advocacy.
This year, riding on two new hips, I'll again be making the 110-mile journey from Sturbridge to Bourne, riding in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for the Jimmy Fund and cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Obviously, this cause is near and dear to me - I'm a survivor myself - and I hope you will consider supporting my ride again this year.
We're making real progress on this disease, so any help you can give can make a real difference in our efforts to meet this tremendous challenge.
